Very interesting gary. Especially 8-10 w # 9 getting my vote for top
comment. Nothing beats live music in a good venue.

Thanks for the link garym!

I remember reading Peter Aczel in the early-to-mid-2000's and his posts
were certainly some of the catalysts I needed to question the mainstream
audiophile articles of the day. Love this line:

"You can still read Floyd Toole and Siegfried Linkwitz on loudspeakers,
Douglas Self and Bob Cordell on amplifiers, David Rich
(hometheaterhifi.com) on miscellaneous audio subjects, and a few others
in that very sparsely populated club. (I am not including The Audio
Critic, now that it has become almost silent.) Once you have breathed
that atmosphere, you will have a pretty good idea what advice to
ignore."

Indeed. "Once you breathe that atmosphere", I suspect one will start
having a good idea of what BS smells like :-).

Cool that he just posted this on April 30th... Haven't seen his writing
in quite awhile.

Thanks Gary

The whole thing reads like a manifesto for the reformed audiophile,
which is exactly what many of the members this forum are.

There are too many good quotes to start listing here. But it's a short
read, well worth it.
Good to read something accurate (the whole thing) - but most important,
work on your speakers, not on your analogue cables. Not mentionned
digital ones ...

LMS 7.7.2 - 5 radio, 3 Boom, 4 Duet, 1 Touch, 1 SB2. Sonos 2xPLAY:1,
PLAY:3, PLAY:5, Marantz NR1603, JBL OnBeat, XBMC, Foobar2000, XBoxOne
(sort of)
