Hi

I have two Yamaha amplifiers (a A-720 -
http://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/yamaha/a-720.shtml and a
AX-500 -
http://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/yamaha/ax-500.shtml). The
AX-500 is definitely faulty, and I have the impression that the A-720 is
failing (the right channel was substantially less loud, now the left one is
as low as the right one was before...). They are working nicely together
with my Monitor Aidio Bronze speakers (http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/details/649109800-monitor_audio_bronze_3_speakers/images/702957/).

I really like these two amplifiers and looking for some suggestions of
repair shops in the Paris (France) Area / south west of Paris (France).

I know this is a long shot - but has anybody any recommendations or
experiences?

Or might it not be worth repairing these?

Thanks for any suggestions,

Rainer

Probably electrolytic caps that have gone dry, usually pretty easy to
replace.

So possibly nothing big - good. And this sounds plausible, at their age of nearly
30 years.

But I still need somebody to replace these. I know what a soldering iron
is, but I have no idea how I can verify if this is the case.

Thanks,

Rainer
