WIMP-HIFI awsome :)

Now the music service WIMP is streaming in FLAC lossless quality :) .
And thanks to Michael Herger it now working on squeezeboxes too. The
sound is awesome and a huge step forward for external music streaming :)
.
It is running perfectly here no dropouts or anything... This is
something that I have dreamed about ever since external streaming was
made possible.
Now I really wan't to LISTEN and discover new music for longer time.
With compressed music I got tired of listning to it, and switched back
to my
own FLAC files after a 1/2 hour or so.

Wimp HIFI is really awesome :)
The only thing I miss in the Squeezebox app is an radio function based
on artist,playlist genre or so.
Or that Michael can get smartmix to work.......

OK, I have the WIMP plugin active in LMS 7.8, how do I use it?

Booms & (2) CSOS SqueezeliteWands. SqueezePad & iPeng for controllers.
Music Room setup: Transporter => Rotel RC1070 preamp => Rotel RB1080 2
channel amp => Bowers & Wilkins 805 Speakers.
Headphone setup: SqueezeliteWandQuad => Mytek 192 DAC => Woo Audio WA22
balanced headphone amp => Sennheiser HD800 headphones.

I didn't think WIMP would work in the United States. In any case, you'll
need a paid account with WIMP.



*Location 1:* VortexBox (2.2) > LMS 7.8 > Transporter, Touch, Boom,

Thanks!

I don't think Wimp works in the United States. But it may be that they
have expanded their business. I would do if I were them .... Maybe a
subsidiary. There are many problems with this due to music rights.
But I hope you will be able to listen to this streaming quality
soon.......
