Can you display the bit depth and sample rate of input streams to a
Transporter over the SPDIF interface? I am running firmware 62. Thx.

In March, rainfall in most parts of the wheat-growing areas in northern
China is expected to be slightly less or close to normal. However, the
wheat crops in Hebei, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Shandong, Henan and Anhui will
continue to suffer, said Xiao Ziniu, director of the National Climate
Center (NCC) under the CMA said at a video conference.China has raised
its drought emergency alert level Thursday from orange to red, the
highest level, for the first time in response to the rare drought which
began in November. The dry spell has affected about 161 million mu (10.73
million hectares) of crops, with 4.37 million people and 2.1 million
heads of livestock facing water shortage by February 6, according to
the Office of State Flood Control and Drought Relief
Headquarters.President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao have ordered
all-out efforts to combat the drought in the country's vast
wheat-growing area to ensure a good summer harvest. The central 'wow
power leveling' (http://www.wowpl.de/power-leveling.asp) government has
added 300 million yuan ($44 million) to 100 million yuan of emergency
funding to help ease the drought. Since December, more than 5.26
million people have participated in drought-relief work.About half of
the total, or five million hectares of the affected crop fields have
been irrigated in the nation's eight 'wow power leveling'
(http://www.wowleveln.de/power-leveling.asp) wheat-growing provinces
as of February 5, according to data released by the Ministry of
Agriculture (MOA) on Friday. The ministry said it would offer farmers
subsidies on irrigation equipment purchase to aid the relief work.
Prices of the facilities should not be higher than the market price for
last year. However, meteorological 'cheap archlord gold'
(http://www.gamcc.com/Archlord-Online/) agencies warned farmers to
irrigate their fields in a "scientific way" to prevent their wheat
freezing in the early spring. As the drought will not 'archlord online
gold' (http://www.gamcc.com/Archlord-Online/) be relieved in the
short-run, more seedlings are likely to be killed as spring approaches,
which could threatened the summer harvest.MOA data showed more than 2.3
million mu of wheat seedlings in Henan, Anhui and Shandong provinces
had perished. This year's summer harvest 'archlord power leveling'
more unpredictable as Puccinia striiformis, or stripe rust, one of the
most damaging wheat disease began to show signs of spreading across the
nation, MOA warned. The dangerous disease, which could cause losses up to
40 percent, has affected more than 11.3 million mu (753,000 hectares) of
wheat in seven provinces, 4.6 million mu more than the same period last
year. The northwestern Gansu and Ningxia saw the worst outbreak in 19
years

Silence doesn't mean no. I'll check my TP when I get home to see if
there is information about the incoming audio stream.

In my experience, it depends on the specific DVD-A....
I have some that do allow streaming of the 96/24 data, and others that
down convert to 48/24. I know this because I've got a DAC which
display's the incoming sample rate.

For some reason, my TP is currently refusing to play anything from the
toslink input, so I can't tell if it will display the sample rates or
not!

Hmm my TP also is not playing anything from its TOSLINK. I never
bothered to report it but the connections to my TOSLINK cables are
extremely loose.

Do you have very loose connection to your cable as well?

The TOSLINK connection is probably one of the worst ever designed.

Ya I think that was the problem... I was using a glass fibre toslink
cable, which is a piece of $@#%. The connector is round, not the
proper D shape, so it doesn't fit and align well. I threw it out, and
went back to a cable with the correct, nice and snug fitting, plug, and
all is well again!

Having done that, I couldn't get the TP to display the incoming sample
rate. When it's streaming a file from slimserver, you can scroll
through all the data about it, including sample rate, but this
functionality doesn't seem to work with digital inputs.

Yeah, I guess it picks up that info from the metadata in SC. It would
be a nice feature to have and should not be too difficult to implement
but would probably have to be done in the firmware as opposed to a
plugin. I would try to get the info from Oppo but the 970 is a
withdrawn model. Thanks for checking.

Old old thread.

I'm feeding the BNC Coax S/PDIF input and need to know if the sample
rate is 1x or 2x.

Is there currently a way of displaying the sample rate of the digital
inputs on a Transporter?

TIA.

Don't believe so. The closest I've seen is displaying bit rate using
Music Information Screen plugin, but not bit depth or sample rate.

Alas there's no easy way with the Transporter (an unfortunate
oversight). I have a Behringer DEQ2496 attached to the digital input
that lets me confirm the sample rate and bit depth being sent. Either in
line as part of the digital processor loop or external source using
Transporter as up to 24/96 DAC.
